Annual memberships in the Fairhaven Village Militia run from January 1 to December 31. Membership rates are $10 for an individual and $25 for a family. A person under 16 years of age must join as part of a family membership with a parent or guardian.
Members are expected to participate in as many of our events as they can. Period dress is encouraged. If you are going to perform camp duties during public hours, such as cooking, etc., you must be dressed in character. There are some support roles that can be done in modern clothing. (See the FAQ page.)
If you are new to historical reenacting, do not purchase or make clothing before consulting with us. We can help you get outfitted correctly. We sometimes have hand-me-downs, particularly for growing children. We will tell you what should should have first as a basic outfit and what details can be added later.
